NHBZ's third annual "Chanukah Helpers, Toys for Chanukah Campaign" is underway. Our toy drive provides underprivileged Jewish children in the St. Louis community with new toys and games. Last year we collected over 600 toys! This year our goal is 1,000 toys. Please help us by donating new toys and games. Please dop off your new toys at NHBZ, 8630 Olive (rear) St. Louis, MO 63132. | Security for High Holidays - (Runs 09/14/2001-09/29/2002) |
To insure peace of mind we have hired a security guard to be on duty during Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur. In addition, the University City Police have beefed up their patrols around all synagogues and have been, and will be, a very visible presence. Both U-City and Olivette Police Departments will also schedule extra patrols during the times we will be walking to and from shul. We will have Child Care for both days of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur day. Please rest assured that we have made these arrangements so we can all spend worry-free, peaceful and safe times in shul together.
