Yael, daughter of Alana and Mike Minoff, is beginning her Bat Mitzvah project and would like our NHBZ family to have an opportunity to be involved.
“For my Mitzvah project, I am collecting gently used purses, snacks and simple needs for women who do not have these common items. I will fill each purse with a variety of necessities such as hand sanitizer, tissues, toothbrush and toothpaste, mini hairbrush, shelf-stable snacks and more. My project will continue through my birthday on January 16th, when I will go to a shelter to deliver the purses. I picked this project because every time I see a homeless woman on the street, I think about how they may not have the materials to keep them healthy and safe. I knew that something needed to be done, even if this is just the beginning. I believe a little kindness can go a long way. Nobody should have to live their life not having the simple needs they need to take care of themselves. There will be a box at NHBZ or you can contact my parents to arrange a drop off or pick up. “
