NHBZ-UMSL UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

Thanks to the generosity of the Feigenbaum-Pepose family, a Scholarship Program has been started at NHBZ for undergraduates attending UMSL. To be considered for a scholarship award, the applicant must be

  • An undergraduate student in good standing at UMSL who is enrolled for a minimum of 9 credit hours during the applicable semester;
  • The child of a current NHBZ member in good standing who has been a member for a minimum of two (2) years;
  • A person of good character who will participate in a meaningful and sustained manner as a member of the UMSL Jewish student body and as part of the NHBZ community;

Preference will be given to freshman and sophomore students; priority will be given to a student who exhibits leadership qualities or potential with respect to the Jewish campus community.

Award(s) will be based on academic merit, but consideration may be given to financial needs. Depending on the number of recipients, awards will typically range from $500-$1,000 and will be paid directly to the recipient. The recipient must attest that this award does not constitute more than 50 percent of tuition owed after receipt of UMSL financial aid.
