Book Club Meets this Monday
Sisterhood’s Book Club will meet this Monday, January 24, 7:15-8:45 pm, on Zoom only. The book will be “The Ghost of Hannah Mendes,” a novel by Naomi Ragen, based on the true-life story of Dona Gracia Mendes who grew up in Spain and Portugal during the start of the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisitions. It fictionalizes her descendants now living in the United States.
If you are a member of the Book Club, the Zoom link will be emailed to you by Sunday, Feb. 23. If you would like more info: Terri Schnitzer 314-518-4107 firstname.lastname@example.org
Announcing: Sisterhood’s Re-entry Planning Meeting on Zoom Monday, February 7
To prepare for 2022, Sisterhood will hold a planning meeting on Zoom on Monday, February 7 at 7:15 pm. All interested women are invited to attend. Email email@example.com to get the Zoom link.
We encourage you to attend this virtual meeting to discuss the best ways for Sisterhood to proceed in our mission and activities for the year. Do you have ideas for a Purim activity, a Chesed project, or an education program? Join us to reconnect, catch up, and share ideas, as we plan for 2022.
Remember, even though some of us have not been together in person since our ‘Welcome Back’ Open House meeting in the Sukka on September 23, Sisterhood continues to fund the Jewish Federation’s ‘Passport to Israel’ Program for our eligible members, as well as other Synagogue activities. If you haven’t yet sent in your dues for 2022, please do so. Send your check for $25 – payable to NHBZ (write ‘Sisterhood’ in the memo line) or call the office to pay by phone, 314-991-2100, ext. 3.
For more information: email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Fran Alper at 314-993-4024 or email@example.com or call Teree Farbstein at 314-753-5035 or firstname.lastname@example.org
We are looking forward to hearing from you… and to getting Sisterhood back up and running soon!
All women are welcome to join us!
